A little about me - I am an economist by training having graduated in 2006 from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Business, Economics & Finance. Prior to starting RBI, I worked professionally as an economist, financial analyst, banker, & CFO. Once up a time I also served in the Australian Army, and as a deckhand on a superyacht.

My father was a plumber in South Gippsland. I grew up helping him during school holidays & university breaks putting on roofs & digging sewer trenches. Photos of those times below.

 
 

Why We Do What We Do?

So many trade entrepreneurs struggle with the financial side of things. They struggle in silence. They want to do great work, provide for their family, & build their business. As a child, I saw my father battle with his business. While being an amazing plumber, I know cash flow kept him awake at night.

There was nobody to help him. RBI is the personification of what that ‘help’ should have been; proactively planning & driving financial performance & cash flow, so he could do what he did best.

Financial stress can break people & ruin families. In 2014, a competitor of a client, ended his life because the work RBI’s client had won, was the last thing preventing the taxman from taking his home. He had 3 children.

Ingrid’s Haven

Ingrid’s Haven, located near Seymour Victoria is one of only a handful of ‘no-kill’ cat shelters in Australia. For over 20 years Ingrid & her team of passionate volunteers have been rescuing, rehabilitating, & re-homing abandoned cats.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

In 2018 RBI’s founder David, discovered that his wife had an extremely rare blood disease that would be fatal in 2 years or less without a bone marrow transplant.

This highly risky procedure was executed with grace & dedication by the team of scientists, doctors, nurses, cleaners, & administrators of ward 7B at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
